OneClickMoney: Lending Service Interface Earns Behance Feature

By · · 4 min read

On June 15, 2018, the website of online micro-loan service OneClickMoney received a curated feature on Behance in the User Interface gallery. The project garnered 857 appreciations and 8,266 views. Studio Sponge worked on the project for nearly a year, handling logic, structure, and user behavior testing.

Behance, Adobe's platform for designer and illustrator portfolios, is structured so that galleries are assembled and curated by the service's own editors. A curated feature signifies the editorial team's selection rather than a user vote, which is why only a handful of projects out of a vast stream receive it. For interface design, the User Interface gallery is one of the most prominent. The project page titled OneClickMoney amassed 64 comments, and the number of appreciations—the hearts users use to mark work—exceeded 850.

Studio Sponge is known in professional circles as a Ukrainian bureau working on websites, brands, and digital campaigns. According to external sources such as CSS Winner, it dates its founding to November 22, 2009. The bureau's Behance profile was created back in August 2013, and by 2018 it had accumulated several curated features, but OneClickMoney became one of the most notable.

What Was Done for the Service

In the project description on the studio's website, the work is titled "A Bold Website for an Online Lending Service." The client is listed as OneClickMoney, and the work is dated 2017. The service falls under the category of online micro-loans, meaning a small loan is arranged through a web form without visiting an office. In such products, the main role is played not by visual flair but by how clearly the user understands what to fill in, in what order, and why an application might be rejected.

Therefore, according to the studio's description, the work took nearly a year and included three parts: scenario logic, page structure, and user behavior testing. In addition to the website, the bureau prepared for OneClickMoney a corporate identity, videos, partner program interfaces, and applications. In other words, it was not about a single page but about a system in which all customer touchpoints look and function as a unified whole.

The project's key figure is given in the results field on the studio's website: "+38% approved applications in the first quarter," which translates to a 38 percent increase in the share of approved applications in the first quarter after launch. This is the studio's own claim, published in its project description. No independent publications confirming this figure could be found in open sources, so the reader should perceive it as the executor's statement rather than the result of an external audit.

The Studio in 2017 and 2018

The work for OneClickMoney coincided with a busy period. In September 2017, the bureau took fourth place in the Runet Rating in the digital agency creativity category, and in 2018 it rose to tenth, receiving 51 awards. The rating results were reprinted by business and advertising publications, including Sostav and AllAdvertising, which expanded the studio's visibility beyond the professional design community.

"A Bold Website for an Online Lending Service"

The staffing side also changed. Sergey Semernyov, who in 2018 served as Art Director of Sponge D&D, held a master class at the Hillel school on July 12, 2018. Two months later, on September 6, a Sponge job posting appeared on, in which the studio described itself as having "more than 60 awards in two years." This is the bureau's self-description, and it was published specifically in the job posting text, not in an independent awards catalog.

The last in the series of Behance curated features known from open sources was the one dated June 15, 2018. Three months later, the studio held a master class, and two months after that, it posted a job listing in which it referred to its own awards over the past two years.
