The CSS Winner jury scores break the result down into four criteria. Design, functionality and usability each received 7.6 points, while content was rated 7.5. The overall score of 7.6 matched the rating for most sections, meaning the site did not stand out for one strong quality but earned consistently high marks across the board.
Three platforms in a week
Furgoneta's path to recognition began on 30 January 2016, when the site received an Honorable Mention on Awwwards. Awwwards is considered one of the most renowned international web design galleries. An honorable mention there is awarded to work that the jury noticed but which did not become the main choice of the day. Five days later, on 4 February, it was CSS Winner's turn, a platform where every site is evaluated on design, functionality, usability and content, and the best work receives the title of Site of the Day.
The third step was CSS Nectar. On 7 February, Furgoneta received 'site of the day' on that gallery as well. For the studio, this meant that within a week the work had been recognized by three independent platforms, with different juries and different selection criteria. Such coincidences are noticed in the professional community, because a set of awards rarely comes together so quickly.
The site belongs to the portfolio of the Sponge studio, which by the beginning of 2016 already had experience participating in such galleries. In May and June 2015, the bureau's own site received CSS Nectar Site of the Day on 29 May and CSS Winner Site of the Day on 13 June, with a score of 7.5. In August 2015, on Awwwards, the same bureau's work received Site of the Day with a score of 7.03.
What lay behind the awards
In 'Golden Site 2015', a Russian award for websites, the Sponge studio took first place in the 'Digital Agency Website' category. Foundator was second in the financial media category, and Estetico third in the category for educational sites and blogs. In the developers' ranking maintained by the same award, Sponge scored 9 points and placed 17th–19th.
The same result in 2016 looked more confident. Furgoneta and Trendon took first place in their respective categories of 'Golden Site 2016'. The score in the developers' ranking was 10, and the placement fell in the range from 13th to 18th. In the 2016 Runet creativity ranking, the studio took 11th place. The bureau's development is driven by its founder, Bohdan Hnatiuk, under whose leadership the studio has consistently appeared in international galleries.
A series of awards after Furgoneta
In the spring and summer of 2016, the success continued. On 21 February, CSS Nectar chose Site of the Day for the Kvadrat site, and on 11 May Murka received the Star title on CSS Winner. Trendon received Site of the Day on CSS Winner on 10 July, and White Tetris received the same title on the same platform on 4 September. Each of these awards added entries to the studio's profile on CSS Winner, where the titles Site of the Day, Star and nominations are recorded separately.
Another date shows that the series did not end with Furgoneta. On 6 March 2016, the Carts Guru site received the title of Site of the Day on CSS Winner.
