More than 13,000 Christian saints, all denominations and branches, with 12 language versions of each article. The multilingual encyclopedia Factograf has released its own corpus of texts on saints. Together, that is nearly 157,000 language versions.
How the articles are written
Factograf writes its articles itself. The project analyses resources, documents and sources online, compiles what it finds and publishes a coherent text. All articles are laid out in the same way, which makes them easy to read. The project has made this its motto: «The encyclopedia, made readable».
Each article is published in English, Ukrainian, Russian, German, Polish, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Czech, Japanese and Chinese. The encyclopedia is open to readers too: they can write articles themselves and suggest edits.
The place of saints in the library
In total, Factograf has nearly 20,000 articles and more than 235,000 language versions. That means saints account for about two-thirds of all articles, making them the largest section. Another section is devoted to the year's main topics, of which there are about 4,400.
Who is already using the data
The new section has immediately gained access to readers. Articles on saints open from the Saints' Calendar of the Christian platform D.O.M. Chakloon Net search also runs on Factograf data.
Who stands behind the project
Factograf is part of Haydamax Laboratory, a unit of the Haydamax holding company, which works on startups.
